Glass-to-Wall Hinge with Offset Back Plate
Glass-to-Wall Hinge with Offset Back Plate
$49.00 – $54.00
The GS Wall Mount Offset Back Plate is tailored for shower door installations where the door’s centerline must be positioned in close proximity to the edges of the shower ceramic wall or tiling. This specialized design guarantees a secure attachment between the wall and glass, all while accommodating tight spatial constraints.
This high-end hinge is self-centering, contains a reversible 5-degree Pivot Pin and is made of solid brass, with all moving parts (pins and springs) in stainless steel.
Standard Reversible Pivot Pin
The 90-degree Glass to Wall Square Hinge contains a reversible pivot pin. One side of the pin is marked 90 degrees. The opposite side is marked 85 degrees.
The hinge comes pre-configured with the 90-degree side activated as the default setting. This means that when the self-centering spring is engaged, the door will stop in a closed position and form a straight line (also known as 90° or 0°).
However, the pin can be rotated to activate the other side (85°), which would cause the door to stop in a closed position that is 5° past a straight line. It’s important to note that the pin should not be turned upside down. The 85-degree side of the pivot pin is typically activated to achieve a tighter seal with certain types of shower gasket.
Using two hinges
With 5/16″ to 1/2″ glass (8 to 12 mm) the hinge will hold up to 90 lbs (41 kg) with a maximum door width of 32″ (813 mm).
Using three hinges
With 5/16″ to 1/2″ glass (8 to 12 mm) the hinge will hold up to 130 lbs (59 kg) with a maximum door width of 36″ (915 mm).
Includes:
Gaskets for all glass thickness, screws, wall plastic anchors.
Note that glass fabrication is required to accommodate the hinge.
Our shower hardware finishing process includes three different applied methods, each resulting in a durable, corrosion-resistant, and visually appealing finish. These methods include electrophoresis (Matte Black), chrome plating (chrome), and nickel plating (Brushed Nickel). Regardless of the chosen option, our hardware finish process guarantees a beautiful, long-lasting finish that meets the highest industry standards for quality and durability, providing exceptional performance and visual appeal.
